Find Your Niche

“Gotta” a niche? Or you wind around the clock like a dog chasing its tail?  I’ve done it for quite a while, until I finally discovered my plateau of prolific surrender. But I still have many students who work 24/7 just to pay the bills. Though they have committed to a regular yoga practice they still have a hard time unleashing their full potential and pursuing their passion. Tons of people engage in business ventures that are not suitable for them. Their creative resources remain untapped and they simply succumb to the safe job that will provide security, jealously guarding their comfort zone. This illusory stability, however, generates insecurity and a total lack of fulfillment.  These people struggle on a daily basis to justify their choice, but fail to realize that the lack of daring and proactivity has made them creatively and spiritually bereft. In most cases this false veil of security dwells on existential fear. However, it signals that the individuals are not in tune with their heart’s purpose. Or in other words they simply haven’t conquered their niche.
From a business perspective the “niche” is a competitive edge that you pinpoint in order to single yourself out from the rest. It is like taking the bull by the horns and leading it to a success filled destination. From a spiritual perspective, success and failure do not exist, they are a projection of the mind and its tendency to judge and separate. The niche is no longer a spring-board for proving yourself, but rather the well of your authentic contribution to society and the world at large. It is that field of creative endeavor that nurtures the fertile ground for you to fully embody your life purpose. How do we find this inner terrain that will voice our identity?
You can start by evaluating the things that you love to do. We are all born with a host of talents and throughout life cultivate special faculties to express these gifts. Once we identify our true passions and track them as creative sparks that fuel conscious action we start to generate lucid intentions and project them in space and time. Usually, the universe receives our callings and orchestrates their embodiment affording us the right opportunities for self-fulfillment in our current reality. We travel from this outer reality to an inner actuality of our desires. We notice how the act of longing for something has transpired into an actual belonging and pertinence to the Earth. We feel more connected to all and able to express ourselves optimally, without any hesitation or concern. The worldly flow accelerates the universal laws of reciprocity and we are able to tap abundance effortlessly, while landing in our niche and experiencing contentment and peace. We think transparently and function with clarity and integrity. Our personal needs resonate with the needs of the planet. As we recognize our unique tribute to society our niche opens to embrace the offering. We accept to live in harmony and peace and tandem with ourselves and all our relations. Our intuitive gifts are amplified and we reclaim our presence as priceless beacons of divine brilliance.
Seasonally, finding ones niche is always related to the post-summer solstice period. As we relish the dazzling fever of summer and exalt the longest days we pivot and bid farewell to waxing light. We carve our luminous trail and see how the uniqueness of our individual authenticity takes precedence over fitting in. We are ready to plunge into spontaneous experimentation to uncover our highest potential. In pursuit of personal autonomy we rediscover the interdependence of all. The individual vibration tunes to the collective frequency and echoes into the universal call for inter-being-ness. In Yogic verbiage we call this unity PARABRAHMAN, in Google terms the “holographic niche”. Once accessed you do not need a key, but just a simple call: “Open Sesame”

Yogea Meditation: Find your Niche

This short Yogea meditation opens with the alteration of three key mudras (hand seals) that give access to our creative niche: ISIS’s wings, lotus seed and blooming lotus. The slow execution of the mudras is accompanied by concentration on the chakras of the heart and solar plexus, the throat center and the sacrum. The meditation is performed with ISIS wings sealed to the heart in a sacred gesture of unfurling the creative wings and landing in one’s heart purpose. The guided meditation gives recognition to one’s invaluable contribution to the planet and helps the practitioner find motivation and confidence in pursuing one’s ideals and aspirations with clarity and compassion.
