Zen Blossom
Where is our Zen? Perhaps, in the presence of absence, or vice-versa…When applied to yoga, especially to pranayama (breath control) the paradoxical philosophy of Zen blossoms fully. Our minds are trained from birth to be very analytical. We over-think and over-analyze; we feel we must identify and name everything in order to understand how each thing fits into our world. We never objectively perceive reality as it is. We block our intuitions, inspirations, creativity. We lose our flow, the play… We lose our Zen. Awareness liberated from the constraints of our conditioned self or ego illusion is free to flow into all areas of our life – health, sports, relationships, education and health – leading to reduced stress, peak performance and deep inner contentment. Experiencing our Zen we break the illusion and limitations of the overly analytical mind, so through No-mind we can actualize the mind’s full boundless potential. Where is our Zen? It is in the simple action of emptying the full to fill up the empty. We cannot know it, we can only experience it.

Zen Blossom – YOGEA Breathing
This unconventional pranayama sequence reminds us to free the imagination and surrender into chance and play. Yogic techniques for breath extension are coupled with subtle movements of unfurling and growth, adorned with hand gestures that seal the energy in the body, inspired by the Hindu tradition of Yoga Mudra. The sealing of the energy in the body promotes optimal lung health, oxygenates the brain, improves circulation and unleashes creative flow. The dynamic twists in the pelvic girdle are accompanied by circular arm movements that relieve tension from the lower back, and release emotional blockages from the hips. The body’s natural self-healing response is elicited and we are able to blossom and thrive.
