Yogea Breathing: Zen Blossom


 

This unconventional pranayama sequence reminds us to free the imagination and surrender into chance and play. Yogic techniques for breath extension are coupled with subtle movements of unfurling and growth, adorned with hand gestures that seal the energy in the body, inspired by the Hindu tradition of Yoga Mudra. The sealing of the energy in the body promotes optimal lung health, oxygenates the brain, improves circulation and unleashes creative flow. The dynamic twists in the pelvic girdle are accompanied by circular arm movements that relieve tension from the lower back, and release emotional blockages from the hips. The body’s natural self-healing response is elicited and we are able to blossom and thrive.
